THIS IS HOW WE DO IT
We want to ensure your car is in tip top condition, and when looking at our packages you may be asking yourself what some of the terms we use mean... This page explains the important ones.
DECONTAMINATION
Daily use means that your car picks up lots of unwanted particles on its surface. To combat this, we use a process called chemical decontamination. This softens and removes iron particles, industrial fallout and stubborn brake dust from wheels.
CLAYBAR
Your car's paintwork has a layer of clear coating on the top that attracts contaminants over time. The use of a claybar or mitt physically pulls these embedded impurities from the clear coat. It is used alongside a lubricating product to ensure it glides over the surface and does not damage the paintwork. We do this in our Showroom Ready package.
SCRATCHES AND SWIRLS
Even if a car's paintwork seems to be in tact, often general use and incorrect cleaning can lead to swirl marks that dull your car's sparkle and affect the look over time. It really doesn’t take much to scratch the clear coat on a car, and even carefully using a soft, microfibre towel may cause swirls - so imagine what an automated car wash will do! At Mulligan's, we not only correct this swirl damage, but also help you to prevent it in future. For this type of service see The Mulligan package.
DIRT EXTRACTION
The inside of your car can actually gather more dirt than the outside. It may not be as visible, but all sorts of things will transfer from the outside world onto interior surfaces. We use professional steam cleaning machines which safely remove embedded dirt and bacteria in the material, improving the appearance and removing stubborn smells.
